After messing around with Synergy for the last 3 hours, it appears to have a major bug related to the keyboard and Lion as server. So Synergy is out of the equation.
Feb 26, 2020 Synergy is a popular app that lets you share a keyboard and mouse across multiple computers. It’s paid but the price tag is likely worth it for most people considering what the app does. That said, if you want a simple and free way to share a keyboard and mouse. The MX Master 2S mouse allows you to move between two computers (PC and/or Mac) seamlessly; I have it and love it. – Allan May 1 '18 at 13:26 There's no software (without hardware) that will allow you to connect to a mouse/keyboard already connected somewhere else.

- Turn an app off in activity monitor mac. i have intel corei5 process with 250 gb hdd, 8gb ram if possible mac os
- i have intel corei5 with 8gb system , if possible mac os working
- Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad though, I dont think any KVM does that.
- My Daughter is able to access my Windows 7 PC from Her Mac using Remote Desktop, essentially eliminating the need to move the physical equipment.
- Thanks, but not really related. I have the screen here, I want to use it, not remote desktop into it.
- I found this,
http://www.amazon.com/Zonet-Kvm3324W-4-Port-Switch-Bluetooth/dp/B00180IVHAStill researching.. I had troubles with Synergy and setup the KVM with a older Mac usb keyboard and mouse. But if I can find a forum where someone has used this one with a Mac I am going to give it a go on my setup. - Interesting, I know it says it has bluetooth technology, but I dont think that means it will work with keyboards. LEt us know if you find someone who can confirm though .
- Did some research, found some approaches and ideas.[Broken Links Removed]Alot of forums are talking about using a regular KVM and using a usb doggle, but I see some problems with that.. I am just going to try it myself and see what happens.
